General foot care

To ensure your feet stay in good condition a regular visit to your podiatrist can help keep any hard skin, cracked heels, thickened or long nails in check. This treatment will leave your feet feeling smooth and ready for the daily pressure they undertake. This treatment can often be completed as part of an express appointment.

Corns and calluses

Corns typically appear at the bottom of the feet and the sides of toes, a hard corn is a small patch of thickened, dead skin with a central core. This condition can be treated easily by removing the surrounding callus and taking out the corn (enucleating).

A callus is an area of thickened skin that forms due to repeated friction or pressure, often caused because of frequent walking or poorly fitting footwear. It can often become painful, cracked or develop into a corn.

Chilblains

These can be swollen, itchy and very painful reddened areas on the feet. Usually seen more in the winter although people with poor circulation can be affected by similar lesions at any time of year. During your appointment we can provide treatment and advice on how to manage them in the future.

Home, hospital and care home visits

If you are unable to get out and about we’re more than happy to visit you to provide treatment and advice. Please contact us to discuss your needs and we can arrange an appointment to exceed them.

Basic nail cutting

As the name suggests, this treatment is for the trimming of toe nails. This is not suitable for those with more complex conditions. Please discuss with your podiatrist on booking your appointment to determine if you are suitable.
